MRL - UKs No.1 New RIB Dealer

MRL are conveniently based in the south coast’s boating capital of Southampton and home of the Southampton Boat show.

MRL first started importing Stingher and Predator Ribs into the UK from Italy in 2004. These are built in Milan by Giuseppe Risolo and his son Andrea. They have four hi tec factories, and have been building Ribs since 1987. They are always striving to improve their Ribs and it shows with the strength and finish that they achieve.

2006 was a busy year for us. In March we moved to our present base at the Southampton Dry Stack, which is the UK’s largest Dry Stack, with undercover storage, and direct frontage onto the River Itchen.

June, we were asked by the world renowned powerboat builder Cigarette to represent them in the UK. This was quite an honour as there are only 18 dealers worldwide. On visiting their factory in Miami you can really see why they are regarded as the best of the best. A Bugatti of the Sea.

During the latter part of 2008 we were approached by Redbay Boats to see if we would be interested in being their UK dealer. The Stormforce range of boats was exactly what was missing from our portfolio.

We went over to the factory in Cushendall during 2009, which was being doubled in size to take extra capacity. As soon as I arrived there I had the same feeling as the first time I went to the Stingher and Cigarette factory. I knew I could work with Tom and Gary as part of a team, and as you walked along the production line you could sense a feeling of pride and passion going into what is a remarkable quality of build.
